Day One; After Body Announcement, Before House of Horrors in the afternoon

[A lot about today has Mabel rattled, and the previous night didn't help any at all. So once investigations get under way and after the debacle with the whole newspaper deal, Mabel takes Dipper back to her room to talk, sitting down on the bed. Because there are Things to discuss.]

...Dipper, I don't like this game. I don't like any of the rules or any of the roles or anything.

Something that's not too embarrassing. [He laughs a little at her faces, though]

[ineptus]

[Laughing herself, she puts on her thinking face again.]

Well, what kind of faces can you make? And would be okay with making?

[terci]

{He shrugs]

I can make a lot of faces too, you know I can! [He does lots of dumb and silly things...]

I don't know what kind of face I'd be okay with. Anything that isn't too obvious, I guess?

[ineptus]

Well...what if we knit our eyebrows? Or puff out our cheeks?

[terci]

[He nods.]

Yeah, either of those could work! Probably the latter would be better, because the former is kind of a thing we both do normally. [Dipper the angry 12 year old]

[ineptus]

Maybe...

Maybe this one!

[She purses her lips a little, making her look not unlike a duck.]

[terci]

... [He just silently copies her face, trying not to laugh at the ridiculousness of it.]

[ineptus]

[She easily breaks first, falling over on her side laughing.]

[terci]

[Her laughter was quite contagious, and it gets him laughing just as hard.]

[ineptus]

[After a good amount of laughing, she sits up, wiping at her eyes.]

Okay, maybe not that one.

[terci]

Y-yeah, we can't have a secret code that gets us laughing every time we use it!

[ineptus]

Okay well I think puffing out our cheeks could really work. Give me your best puff, Dipper!!

[terci]

[He nods and puffs out his cheeks then, and it looks pretty adorable, but effective!]

[ineptus]

[A round of applause for Dipper!]

I think we've found our secret code!

[terci]

[He smiles, satisfied with her reaction.]

Awesome! Now we know what to do when we're in need of each other's help for whatever reason! [THIS IS EXCITING HE'S EXCITED ABOUT THE SECRET CODE]

[ineptus]

[She nods.]

Yeah! Or if we need to tip each other off about information!

[terci]

That too! [Yes, we mustn't forget about the information.]

Speaking of information, we kinda got a little sidetracked here with the secret code...

[ineptus]

Oh right...okay so, what did you want to know? I don't know a whole lot about my role but...we kind of got sidetracked fighting to really ask a whole lot of questions.

[terci]

Uh well I just want to know if you think you might be able to convince your "partner" to give me a key the next time you meet... [It sounds kind of useful to have..]

[ineptus]

I can try. I don't really want to talk to her again. She was really unpleasant...

[terci]

But don't you kinda have to talk to her? [He frowns though, feeling bad for his sister.]

[ineptus]

Well yeah. They lock us in a room together until we talk and make a decision...

[terci]

Well then use your Mabel charm and persuade her! I mean, I don't care that much about getting a key, but you guys'll have to come to agreements. You can't just never give any out to anyone.

[ineptus]

I think that's what she wants to do? Maybe? After she suggested you'd probably kill me, I kind of just kept yelling at her so we never really...discussed it...

[And she kind of feels ashamed about that, now that she thinks about it more...]

Mabel, those keys could be really helpful to some people. They could save someone's life! [Someone meaning his]
