Day One; After Body Announcement, Before House of Horrors in the afternoon

[A lot about today has Mabel rattled, and the previous night didn't help any at all. So once investigations get under way and after the debacle with the whole newspaper deal, Mabel takes Dipper back to her room to talk, sitting down on the bed. Because there are Things to discuss.]

...Dipper, I don't like this game. I don't like any of the rules or any of the roles or anything.

[Thank god she stopped because Dipper felt like he was going to die

He sits back up and after a few breaths himself, nods in agreement.]

Yeah, but before we start our investigation, I think we need to come to a final agreement. [He reaches up and fixes his cap, which had been pushed to the side in their little tickle fight.]

From now on, I'll try to be less paranoid if you can try to not get into trouble, because we need to stop arguing so we can get to the bottom of this.

[He holds out his hand]

Deal?

[At first she squints at him, as if she doesn't trust him. It's just a tease though, because pretty soon she smiles bright and takes his hand, giving it a shake.]

Deal! From now on we work together and talk about things like adults.

[He grins back, his heart finally starting to feel at ease.

It was scary being somewhere where death is a very real possibility, and he was really scared about him dying or Mabel dying.. but he was very glad she was here with him. She always knew how to cheer him up or reassure him... there honestly was no better partner than she was. Even if he ended up stuck here with Wendy, he wouldn't be able to calm down and feel less stressed or scared without Mabel around.]

First thing's first, let's go inspect the body and figure out how the victim was killed! [He hops to his feet again, and heads towards the door.]

[She's in the same boat. As much as she wishes Dipper wasn't here with her, she wouldn't know what to do without him really. And she was convinced that as long as they were together, they'd be alright.]

Yeah! Dead body!

[She quickly follows after him, way too excited about this now.]
